Vaccination
Keeping up a defense against preventable diseases with yearly vaccinations is essential. We also offer titre testing to check your pet's immunity with a simple blood test.
Consultation
From 6-monthly wellness checks to multiple medical concerns, our vets are dedicated to providing thorough examinations. We offer both standard and extended consultation bookings to suit your pets needs.
Diagnostics
We offer a full suite of diagnostic services, including comprehensive blood and urine testing, ear, skin and lump sampling, and more. We use in-house diagnostic machines for instant results, as well as external laboratory services, to deliver accurate and comprehensive results.
Imaging
Radiographs (x-rays) are part of our medical investigation services. Broken bones, foreign materials and heart changes can all be detected via x-ray. X-rays are a non-invasive diagnostic tool that provide us more information and assist in making as accurate diagnosis.
Surgery
At Newport Vet Care, we perform a variety of surgeries, from desexing and lump removals to diagnostic biopsies. We understand that putting your pet through surgery can be a stressful time, so we aim to minimise stress on the day of surgery for both you and your pet, while keeping your pet's safety our number one priority. Our experienced team is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcome and minimising surgical risk.
Dental
Dental procedures are among the most common services performed in veterinary clinics, with 80% of dogs and 70% of cats over the age of three having active dental disease. Dogs and cats can experience significant tooth and gum pain as a result. In severe cases, dental disease can cause damage to the kidneys and heart. Our dental services include full mouth radiographs for a comprehensive assessment, as well as pre-anaesthetic blood testing as a gold standard service.
Preventative Care
Fleas, ticks and heartworm are parasites that can be easily prevented from harming our pets, alongside regular worming treatment. Our team can provide expert advice tailored to your individual pet's needs, helping to maintain a high level of health and wellbeing.
Senior Pets
Have you noticed you pet "slowing down" as they've gotten older? As pets age, their needs change. We can work with you to create a personalised plan to identify and support these needs, using a range of care options including nutrition, cognitive support and mobility assistance. We recognise that many factors influence decisions about you pet's care. A one-size-fits-all approach simply doesn't reflect the individual needs of every pet and family.
